Les Mis Performance

I remember going to see Les Mis live. I only wish I could have seen a professional troupe.

When I went to see the movie, I fell head-over-heels for the music and story line all over again.

Last night was fantastic!!!!!!!!!!
I have loved the music of Les Mis ever since I started listening to the music and started watching the 25th anniversary performance.
We watched the performance in Springfield. For the small size of the theater and the fact that in Springfield does not have many professional musicians, therefore most, if not every, actor is a volunteer, they did an amazing job.
We were able to set right up front. In the second and third rows on the far left. Therefore we were able to see everything very well.
I cannot wait until the movie comes out this winter. As I stated earlier, I have watched the 25th anniversary performance and each time I have watched it, as well as seeing the performance last night, my desire to watch it has increased every time.
Well, for now I am out of topics to blog about.

My life so far…………

Hello out there. Strange to see that I am back again in the blogging world. For all of my faithful followers who have not given up on me, I thank you for being patient for the long wait between posts.

Well, school is going well and the semester is almost half over. The half way mark might have already come, but I have other more important items on my plate to think about than how much of the semester I have left to go.

Tomorrow is going to be fun. This week is homecoming week at school. Tomorrow is the big parade and football game. With the yucky weather we have been having the past few days, tomorrow is going to look the same.

Then, later in the evening, several of my family members and I will be going to see a local production of Les Mis. I am super excited! I have recently become obsessed with this musical and cannot wait until I get to see it live. Not to mention that this coming December, I think, the movie will be coming out.

Wednesday in my World Literature class, I had to give a presentation over Chinese Poetry. It was my first shot at teaching English to people in the age range that I will eventually be teaching. Once I graduate that is. The good thing is, everything I had in my presentation, my professor regurgitated again when he went up to finish the lecture for the day. This fact in and of itself makes me have more confidence that this is the right direction I am to take for my life profession wise. Not to mention that I enjoyed every minute of preparation and actual presenting time I had to do. I used a power point in my presentation, and one of the slides I had was just for an overview of what I was going to talk about. When I had just finished this slide, my Professor asked me if I was going into the education or pastoral field. When I answered with education, he stated that the way I had ordered my slides up to that point was the way that someone in the education field would do it. Let us just say that I was pretty happy with this news.

My Weekend

This is what has happened in my life this weekend.

Tuesday and Thursday were the final concerts for orchestra. I am sad. All of my classes that performed were on Thursday.

After the Thursday performance, we three older kids went putt-putt golfing with some of our friends from our orchestras and choirs that performed that night. I had a fun time though. Got to hang out with friends for pretty much the last time. We got there around 9. We didn’t leave until about 11:30. I know, three hours. It was almost one by the time we had dropped of two of our friends that came with us that we got to go home. It was a little after one when we went to bed.

You can go on you tube and watch some videos of the choirs and orchestras playing.

Friday was, let us say, different. Without going to orchestra on Fridays is going to take some getting used to. That night the whole family went to our church music practice, and then we went to Pizza Hut for dinner. After that, we went home. That night, around 8:30/9, Kara, Maddie, Emi, and I all decided that we would watch a move. It was “Far and Away.” It is a Tom Cruise and Nicole Kidman movie made in 1992. I would defiantly NOT recommend it if you freak out about blood. So it was 11:30 by the time the movie was over.

Saturday, I went to a horse clinic over at one of our friends’ house, the S’s. I had a great time!! I learned a lot. I also helped them by going on some tours to see the baby foals. While I was opening gates I was looking for what I would “like” to get if I could get a horse. I got a nice sun-burn from doing that.

Saturday was also Becca’s 11th birthday.

Yesterday went on like a normal Sunday.

Today, really nothing to tell. Oh, we opened our pool yesterday. So it will be a matter of days before I will attempt to get in. Although the kids were talking about getting in today. My parents are actually thinking about letting them. Crazy people.

Well, I think that is it for now.
